Today on our 2014 Volvo XC60 we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch. This is a roof-mounted bike rock. It's got a fork clamp design. Its part number is RKY1011. We've already got our Rhino Rack Vortex Aero roof rack system installed on the Volvo so we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto our load bars. Here at the front we'll remove the black cover, then remove the straps from the indentions. We'll then want to bring those straps around the underside of our load bar, and then set them back into the appropriate slots here on the head of the carrier. Then take just a second to be sure that we've got this sitting where we want it on top of our bar. more

Yakima ForkLift Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Volvo XC60

Today, on our 2014 Volvo XC60, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Forklift. This is a roof mounted fork clamp style bike rack. It's part number is Y02098. We've got our Rhino Rack Vortex Arrow roof rack system already installed on the Volvo. So, we're going to begin our test fit by first removing the front skewer. Now, this is reverse thread, so just keep that in mind. When you are trying to remove it, you want act like you're tightening it. With that removed, we'll then slide back our black cover, loosen our T-bolt slightly. This should allow us to remove it from the lower portion of our clamp. more

Today on on our 2014 Volvo XC60 we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Mountain trail. This is a fork clamp style roof mounted bike rack. It's part number is RBC035. We've already got our Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack system installed on the Volvo. We'll begin our test fit by placing the rack right up onto our load bars. As we do we'll hold down on the black rubber-coated metal straps, let those go around the underside. more

Today on our 2014 Volvo XC60, were going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio. This is a fork clamp style roof mounted bike rack and the black and chrome its part number is TR02. We also have it available in gun metal gray and orange, that part number is RU01. Now weve got the Vortex Aero Roof Rack System on the Volvo already from Rhino-Rack. Well begin the test fit by placing the rack right up onto the crossbars. At the front, well bring one of the black rubber coated U bolts around the underside and fit it up into the head of the carrier. Well then thread on two cylinder nuts. more

Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2007 Volvo XC90

Today, we have 2007 Volvo XC90, and were going to be testing fitting the Thule Domestique Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH513. We already have our bike carrier assembled and now were ready to fit it at top on top of our vehicle. To mount the carrier to our roof rack, well fit the head of the rack and the clamp around our front load bar. Well use an Allen wrench to tighten down the three bolts. Then, at the rear, well fit our clamp around the rear bar and again use that Allen key to tighten down the bolts on the rear clamp. Then, we can reinstall our skewer. more

RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2007 Volvo XC90

Today, on our 2007 Volvo XC90, were going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Bike Rack, part number RKY1014. To fit the bike rack on our roof rack, well place it up on top of our load bars. Well set the head of the bike rack on top of our front bar and feed the straps around the bar. Well fit the straps back into the head and use an Allen wrench to tighten them up. Once weve done that, we can go ahead and reinstall the cover. At the back of the carrier, well fit the clamp around the rear bar and use the wing nuts to tighten the clamp onto our bolts. more
